Course Overview

If you are interested in Fashion & Beauty Makeup this part time certificate will provide you with an understanding and the skill base required to work in retail, cosmetic, photographic and special occasion makeup. Classes are structured with theory discussions, power point imagery, observation of demonstrations followed by application of techniques in a daily practical working session.

We would recommend combining this Certificate with our Blowdrying & hot-styling tools workshop (8 weeks) and Hairstyling workshop (8 weeks). The fashion and beauty makeup certificate and hair styling courses combined will provide you with a solid all round makeup and hair styling skill base required in the industry.

Additional Information

The kit fee includes your starter kit (including M.A.C Cosmetics) and a TMS 26 piece professional brush set. The school will provide industry standard makeup products including all M.A.C Cosmetics for beauty and fashion work. Any guest speakers/demonstrator costs are included in your course fees including professional photographs of your final fashion exam.

Course Requirements

To be able to start a course at The Makeup School an acceptable/accomplished level of English is required, both written & verbal.

Once a course is commenced fees must be paid in full according to the payment option chosen.

To start this course you must be 16 years and over. If under 18, this form must be completed by your legal parent or guardian.

The interview

If you are under 18 years of age then a guardian will need to attend the interview with you. At the interview the content of the course curriculum and any Incidental Expenses will be explained and any questions you may have will be answered.

Course Acceptance and Registration Payment

If accepted into the course you will be notified of this. You will then need to pay your registration fee immediately in order to secure your place. An invoice will be emailed to you confirming your enrolment on this course.

Course Fee payment options

Full Fee includes a student kit and a non refundable, non transferrable, registration fee of $500.00

Payments must be received by The Makeup School Ltd ON OR BEFORE their due date. All Fees not received by the due date will incur a "late payment penalty fee" of $20.00 per day until the payment is received, and students may be turned away from class, (we recommend you deposit any funds two days prior to the due date to avoid penalty). There will be no exceptions to this, so please make note of the due dates for your fee payments.

Student Withdrawal: If a student wishes to withdraw from the course the following applies:

For withdrawal between 8 - 30 days prior to commencement of the course, a $400.00 withdrawal fee will be deducted from refund in addition to the non-refundable registration fee.

For withdrawal 7 days or less prior to commencement of the course, a $800.00 short notice withdrawal fee will be deducted from refund in addition to the non-refundable registration fee

Once the course is commenced fees must be paid in full according to the payment option chosen.

The Student Makeup kit (including products), the makeup brush set and any course material remain the property of The Makeup School Ltd, until final payment has been made.

All refunds are made at the complete discretion of The Makeup School Ltd.
