Course Overview
This course is designed for Makeup Artist’s who wish to learn a new set of skills in Special Effects Makeup. A Makeup Artist is an important member of any production team and the more skills you have the more you are likely to succeed in this highly competitive Industry.
An experienced tutor will guide students through the stages of creating realistic trauma makeup effects along with learning product knowledge and up to date techniques..
Course Equipment
If you already own the following you must bring to class:
Makeup brushes. If you don’t own a professional set of makeup brushes or want to add to your existing set you can purchase a 26 piece professional Makeup Collective brush set ($260.00 inc gst) or a 12 piece personal Makeup Collective brush set ($149.00). Individual brushes and other makeup supplies are available to purchase from our industry store makeupcollective.co.nz
You will be required to purchase a basic SPFX kit to work with in class, which can be pre-ordered through TMS prior to staring the course.

- Black stipple sponge
- Kryolan TV Matt spirit gum 30ml

Course Requirements
To be able to start a course at The Makeup School an acceptable/accomplished level of English is required, both written & verbal.
Once a course is commenced fees must be paid in full according to the payment option chosen.
Students participating in this course must provide a copy of their current passport, driver’s license or photo ID, at the time of the interview.
To start this course you must be 16 years and over. If under 18, this form must be completed by your legal parent or guardian.
