Course Overview

This workshop which is held once a year is designed for teenage girls who are at high school and who love experimenting with makeup or who simply don’t know how to apply it.


The Makeup School offers the perfect environment for you to learn the tools and tricks of the trade in a group workshop.

M.A.C cosmetics are used during your training.

After 3 days you will have the skills to present yourself for different occasions from a fresh faced makeup to a more fun look for a party or school ball.

You will be introduced to ‘Clean Start’ a fabulous Teenage skincare range from Dermalogica.

Additional Information

You will need your brush set to be able to start this workshop.  A 12pc personal brush set can be purchased from our shop on the first day of your course.  Individual brushes are available.  This will be the set the tutor will demonstrate with.

Students should bring a pen and paper for note taking and their lunch.

Course Requirements

To be able to start a course at The Makeup School an acceptable/accomplished level of English is required.

Fees must be paid in full according to the payment date chosen.

To complete this workshop, and to receive a certificate, the course must be completed in full. Private lessons can be arranged with a minimum of three hours.  Please refer to private training under courses.

To start this course you must be 13 years and over. This form must be completed by the student’s legal parent or guardian.

Students enrolling for this course are NOT required to attend an interview and will automatically be accepted
if a place is available.

After confirming the availability of spaces on the course you must complete the Application Form and submit to The Makeup School along with your non refundable deposit of $100. This deposit will secure your place on the course.

Full payment is required one week before the course commences.

Course Fee payment options

Payments must be received by The Makeup School Ltd ON OR BEFORE their due date. All Fees not received by the due date will incur a "late payment penalty fee" of $20.00 per day until the payment is received, and students may be turned away from class, (we recommend you deposit any funds two days prior to the due date to avoid penalty). There will be no exceptions to this, so please make note of the due dates for your fee payments.

Full payment is to be made 7 days prior to the commencement of the workshop.

Student Withdrawal: If a student wishes to withdraw from the course the following applies:

For withdrawal 7 days or less prior to commencement of Course, no refund will be given.

All amounts quoted are in New Zealand Dollars.

Student Withdrawal

If a student wishes to withdraw from the course the following applies:

Once the course is commenced, fees must be paid in full according to the payment option chosen.

In the case of any external debt recovery charges, the responsibility of these charges will lie with the student, or where the student is under 18, the responsibility will lie with the legal parent or guardian.

All refunds are made at the complete discretion of The Makeup School Ltd
