What inspired you to be a makeup artist?

I’ve always loved fashion, reading magazines and watching movies since I can remember. The thought of seeing your work in print or on screen would feel like an amazing accomplishment! Being a creative person I found a passion for Makeup and decided to follow this path. Having a creative job, meeting new people and getting paid for it sounded like a dream come true!

What made you choose tms?

I heard great things about TMS while living in my home town of Blenheim. Determined to study at TMS, I worked hard saved the money and moved to Auckland. A few sacrifices and some hard work has lead me to where I am today, living my dream!!

How did you enjoy your course?

I loved it, worth every cent. The thing I enjoyed most was the tutors worked in the different areas of the Industry, Fashion, Beauty, Film & TV each bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I liked that it wasn’t an NZQA course simply because the curriculum is updated regularly and up to the latest Industry standard.

What are some things you’ve been doing since graduation?

Ha-ha where do I start. I have a terrible habit of saying yes to everything, I recently took on three jobs in one day, obviously I like a challenge! I’ve worked across the board in Film & TV on jobs such as “Meg” “The Shannara Chronicles”, “The Bad Seed” and on T.V commercials Farmers, BNZ Bank. I’am currently working part-time for M.A.C Cosmetics along with my freelance work on Weddings, Photo shoots! It’s a busy life, full of challenges, and it is so rewarding to see my work in print and on screen!
